You will be expected to bring the following items to class every time we meet: - One binder to keep all handouts together including notes/homework. There will be periodic binder checks - Pencil and writing paper - Independent reading book.
I ask that you: - Arrive on time, and ready to learn - Maintain books/workbooks and have them in class when we meet - Leave your JOURNAL in class - Cooperate with those around you and accept responsibility for your own actions - Participate
Your grade will be computed as follows:
A=90-100%
B=80-89%
C=70-79
D=65-69%
F=Below 65% (BUMMER)
→ Tests - 20%
→ Homework -20%
→ Weekly exercises -40%
→ Class participation/Effort/Behavior- 20%
Homework There will be 20-30 min. of homework per evening. You receive full credit if it is complete and neatly done and turned in when you enter class the next meeting day. Also, in-class work not finished should be completed at home and turned in the following day. If absent (and excused), you will have a week to make-up the work and quizzes missed. This is YOUR responsibility!
Behavior In addition to the School Behavior Code (see your copy or one posted in class), the following POSITIVE POINT SYSTEM will be in effect: Each student starts out each day with 5 points. When you are on time, responsible for assignments, turn in homework, try to do your best work and add positive energy to the class, along with other SUPER behaviors, you can earn up to 5 more points. When, however, you are late for class (unexcused), forget your pencil or homework, do not respect others by causing disruptions, add negative energy to the class, and you know the rest... you can lose up to the total original 5 points. THIS POINT SYSTEM CAN AFFECT YOUR FINAL GRADE!

(Saving Our Planet) - Self-improvement: Personal Goals - School Activities
We will view movies pertaining to certain topics above. Together we can make this a great class!
