During the course of the year you will be introduced to literature through a variety of genres. You will improve your communication skills through guided assignments in: reading, writing, speaking and listening. You will participate in weekly: writing projects, reading, vocabulary development, grammar acitivities and other activities. I will provide a POSITIVE environment and a creative approach to teaching the curriculum. In return, I expect you, as young adults, to be responsible and considerate and to respect both adults and other students. I also expect GOOD, POSITIVE ENERGY from all of you. We can work together to make this class a rewarding place to be so we can ALL learn.
Tutorial Class Requirements
Students will need to complete a graduation portfolio in tutorial classes. Students in all grades will work on an assignment each week involving activities and assessments related to personal and home life, academics, vocation, career and transition. Some activities will involve the help from family members. Other activities will be individual. Six-week grades will be based upon completion of essential elements of the portfolio along with the student's in-class commitment to their job of being a student. Any feedback regarding the assignments are appreciated.
